In the intervening eons, various cataclysms have befallen the planet while an unknown number of civilisations have risen and fallen.

Events take place one billion years in the future, with Earth now called the Ninth World. Its setting and plot are rooted in fantasy-tinged heavy sci-fi, with a big dollop of mysticism and metaphysics thrown in. A spiritual successor to 1999’s Planescape: Torment, this RPG is a throwback to PC games of old, with story-based gameplay, an isometric perspective and deep character building mechanics.
